Rodeadas de yuyos y \u00e1rboles, junto a un basural a cielo abierto donde ni\u00f1os y adultos recorren los residuos en busca de algo \u00fatil, con alg\u00fan colch\u00f3n y trapos que evidencian alg\u00fan ocupante de ocasi\u00f3n, ruinosas, oxidadas, \u00bftristes?…. dos locomotoras a vapor duermen el final de su vida \u00fatil hace muchas d\u00e9cadas, tal vez un siglo. Con el silbato anunciaban su llegada y la comarca villamariense, radiante \u201chija del riel\u201d, recib\u00eda desde hace m\u00e1s de 150 a\u00f1os la llegada del tren. La ciudad se convirti\u00f3 en favorita de la red ferroviaria, coraz\u00f3n del sistema. Los a\u00f1os pasaron y las tecnolog\u00edas se renovaron, el uso del vapor qued\u00f3 en el ayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La 1\u00aa Revoluci\u00f3n Industrial se impuls\u00f3 con vapor. El nacimiento del tren y su expansi\u00f3n posterior cambi\u00f3 para siempre el modo de viajar y comunicarse, el tel\u00e9grafo se extendi\u00f3 a la vez que las v\u00edas. La llegada del tren a la Argentina data de 1857, en 1863 comenz\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n del Ferrocarril Central Argentino, llegando en 1867 a Villa Mar\u00eda y en 1870 a C\u00f3rdoba. Como el centro de una telara\u00f1a era Villa Mar\u00eda, la red ferroviaria se extend\u00eda hacia todos los puntos cardinales desde nuestra ciudad. De all\u00ed la importancia de sus playas de maniobras y talleres, una de las m\u00e1s importantes de Sudam\u00e9rica. Mucho material qued\u00f3 en desuso y olvido, otro tanto fue saqueado sistem\u00e1ticamente. La presencia de las dos locomotoras, t\u00e9nder, todo tipo de vagones, \u201czorras\u201d y otro material ferroviario, incluyendo el \u201cplato\u201d donde se giraban las m\u00e1quinas, piden a gritos la creaci\u00f3n de un espacio del recuerdo y estudio a cielo abierto, un museo al aire libre que re\u00fana el material disperso. Recuerdo el triste final de la locomotora y t\u00e9nder que hacia 1972 se hab\u00eda instalado en el entonces \u201c\u201dParque Infantil Salom\u00f3n Deiver\u201d. Que no ocurra lo mismo con este valioso material ferroviario. La \u201chija del riel\u201d no puede olvidar su madre, debe honrarla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
